Accountability can change your life — but only if it’s done the right way.

In this episode, I’m sharing what I learned from a year-long challenge that completely shifted the way I think about accountability — why it works, when it doesn’t, and how to build systems of support that keep you motivated without guilt or pressure.

You’ll hear the story of my “work out every day for a year” experiment, how it taught me the difference between supportive accountability and controlling accountability, and why shame-based motivation always backfires (especially if you’re wired for independence or have ADHD tendencies).

We’ll talk about:

  • Why “just try harder” isn’t real accountability
  • The psychology behind why we rebel against pressure and guilt
  • What makes accountability safe, sustainable, and motivating
  • How to connect your goals to your deeper why\
  • The one mindset shift that turns accountability into empowerment

Whether you’ve tried public goal-posting on social media, found yourself hiding from your accountability buddy, or just can’t seem to stay consistent — this episode will help you rethink how you get support so you can make lasting changes that actually fit your life.

And, at the end, I’ll tell you about an opportunity to bring the right kind of accountability into your own life through my new group coaching program, Stand — designed for busy, overwhelmed adults who want compassionate structure and real progress without guilt or burnout.
